Midnight Monsters – the animation!!

Here’s the animation we made together at Teign Heritage Centre one Thursday afternoon during half term. It’s not half as scary as it sounds 🙂 so do have a look! it was a really fun afternoon, with lots of lovely talented kids and their grownups. I’m planning to start running lots more workshops in Teignmouth soon – watch this space! 🙂

Midnight Monsters thank you!

Thanks to everyone who came to yesterday’s animation workshop at the brilliant Teign Heritage Centre and made it such a success!

I’m now going to spend the weekend studying your feedback forms and try to cook up some more activities for kids between now and Christmas!

If you weren’t able to get into the workshop yesterday I’m really sorry, it was a first time in Teignmouth for me and I really didn’t think it would be so popular, which is great but not so good if you didn’t get in :(.

If you want to find out about future workshops and make sure you get a place, get in touch via the website Contact page, it will be great to hear from you!

Midnight Monsters Workshop in Teignmouth!

Hi Everyone! I’m putting on my Midnight Monsters Workshop at Teign Heritage Centre on 27th October 2-5pm – come down with your kids and spend the afternoon creating scary shadow monsters and animating them on a lightbox! Ideal for 5s and up – but younger children also love it with a bit of help from a grownup! And grownups also love it. :). It’s £5 per child and free for adults.

Book through me (Claire) – call 07746326860

Hope to see you there!

Easton Kids’ Film Club!

A new venture taking off in Easton at the brilliant Junction 3 library is Easton Kids Film Club. Small World has teamed up with Junction 3 library and community housing provider  Knightstone to create a film club as part of the Into Film initiative run by the British Film Institute.

We staged our first event last Friday- a screening of the classic children’s movie Chitty Chitty Bang Bang plus a creative workshop, where we made movie scenes in a box – and we’re hoping there will be lots more films and workshops to come – all FREE.

Next Friday 26th August will be our second event – featuring the beautiful stop-motion animation James and the Giant Peach with animation workshop to follow. ALL FREE!!

Details on the flyer below – hope to see you there!

Aloha Buckfastleigh!

I had a fantastic time at Buckfastleigh Primary School earlier this month when I facilitated a one-day animation workshop for 39 Year 6 pupils. Everyone did great work and it was lovely to have the opportunity to work in my old primary school!

The project was loosely based on the film “Lilo and Stitch”, funded by the brilliant Helen Foundation and coordinated by Daisi – click  to go to their websites and see the great work they do in the arts in Devon.

Take a look below for the amazing final outcome – well done everyone!
