Burton Bradstock Vikings Animation Workshop

Hello Burton Bradstock peeps! Here’s your animation, I hope you like it, and well done for all your ideas and lovely characters!

Fontmell Magna Viking Animation Workshop

Wow! I had a lovely day at Fontmell Magna in Dorset last Thursday! The location was the Springhead Trust, which is set in a beautiful garden with its own very ancient spring. (It has been settled for over 4,500 years…) We made a great animation based on the headless skeletons found in the “Viking Pit of Doom”, which was uncovered when they were digging out a new road near Weymouth. Twelve very talented children teamed up to make the film, which gives a possible explanation of how the skeletons got there… Here’s what we came up with!!

Midnight Feast!

I had a great day a couple of weeks ago at Yeoford primary school. I was working with the lovely Year Twos, who turned out to be a very bright, imaginative and creative bunch of kids! Here’s the animation we made using the painted (by them) window as our background, which was Jess’s idea, and it looked beautiful. Well done all of you, hope to see you all again soon!

Easter Animation Workshops at Playfull Toyshop!

in the woods

I’m going to be running more workshops at Playfull at Easter – we sold out last time and there are only a limited number of places available, so make sure you book soon!

On 10th and 11th April 5-7 year olds can come and create and animate their own woodland creature at “In the Woods”. The workshops will be run over the two days between 10am and 1pm, and we’ll try and make up some stories too!

On 14th and 15th I’m running “Rabbits on the Moon!” a two-day animation storytelling project for 8-11 year olds. How did those rabbits get there and what did they find? You make up the story and animate your own characters.

For more info either contact me via the Contact page here, or call 07746326860.

Hope to see you there!

The Frankley Fruity Factor!

Well done everyone who helped make the Frankley Fruity Factor a couple of weeks ago at Frankley Library! Thanks to all the lovely staff there – Sue, Val and Bernie – I had a great day and I hope you all did too. Sorry it’s been a bit of a wait for you to see your film, I had some probs with some of the sound clips so a lot of your brilliant comments aren’t on the final film. I hope you’ll enjoy watching all your characters – you all did really well!!
