I was very chuffed to be asked to design the poster for this year’s Hamilton House Open Day. It will be a great day with loads to see and do so a visit is highly recommended!

Easter Animation Workshops at Playfull Toyshop!
I’m going to be running more workshops at Playfull at Easter – we sold out last time and there are only a limited number of places available, so make sure you book soon!
On 10th and 11th April 5-7 year olds can come and create and animate their own woodland creature at “In the Woods”. The workshops will be run over the two days between 10am and 1pm, and we’ll try and make up some stories too!
On 14th and 15th I’m running “Rabbits on the Moon!” a two-day animation storytelling project for 8-11 year olds. How did those rabbits get there and what did they find? You make up the story and animate your own characters.
For more info either contact me via the Contact page here, or call 07746326860.
Hope to see you there!
The Frankley Fruity Factor!
Well done everyone who helped make the Frankley Fruity Factor a couple of weeks ago at Frankley Library! Thanks to all the lovely staff there – Sue, Val and Bernie – I had a great day and I hope you all did too. Sorry it’s been a bit of a wait for you to see your film, I had some probs with some of the sound clips so a lot of your brilliant comments aren’t on the final film. I hope you’ll enjoy watching all your characters – you all did really well!!
The Eggsellent Egg Movie!
And it really is EGGSELLENT! Made by ten very talented and hard-working children over two days during half term at the fantastic Playfull Toyshop on the Gloucester road in Bristol. Well done everyone!!
Gigglefest 2013
Well, it was short but sweet, but we had lots of fun making “Funny Peelings!”, as part of the Library of Birmingham’s Gigglefest this year! Well done to everyone involved, especially the magical Manda Cadabra for organising it all! Fantastic!! So here’s your animation Gigglers, I hope you enjoy it…
The Big Draw!
I’m really pleased to announce that I’ll be running this year’s Big Draw at the M Shed in Bristol!! Well, not just me, I’m working with the wonderful Rachael Dadd, a much-loved and admired contemporary folk musician. What some people might not know is she’s also an amazing artist – which I did know because we were at art school in Winchester together just over 10 years ago.
So do come along, it’ll be great! It’s on October 27th from 10am-1pm and 2-4pm. We’ll be thinking and drawing lots of stuff themed around the idea of “Future Bristol”, so come and make wishes to hang from a Future Wishes Tree, invent and animate your own future transport machine, design a future house, and (fingers crossed if we can get the parts in time!!) draw with a Squigglebot, which is a kind of home-made drawing robot.
Rachael’s also writing a song for the event to inspire us all… Lovely!

“The Big Questions in Science”
This was such a fun and interesting project to work on: I was commissioned by Carlton Books to draw 20 illustrations for a popular science book, which is being published today, 12th September. I haven’t been able to put them up until now for copyright etc reasons, but here they are now. The authors were great to work with, specially the amazing Hayley Birch – you can check out her Sounds of Science blog here.
