OK, here it is, the edited version plus soundtrack and the pics I took of you all against the green screen! Apologies to Arnya though, your photo was wonky and blurred and there was only one! So sorry…
Anyway, I hope you all enjoy the final animation, you were all fab to work with and hope to see you in Appledore again next year!
Hello Appledore animator-peeps!
Here’s the unedited film we made last week in Appledore. I’ll put up the version with your pics etc in the next few days, plus some music, am still editing it in between doing other things..
Hope you all enjoyed the workshops, I had a great time. – you were all lovely to work with, so Big Ups all round!
I was asked to submit a piece of work to show for Bristol Biennial, with the theme of ‘Storytelling’ . Here it is – a large graphite drawing based on the animation “The Library” that I’m working on. It’s on show in Hamilton House on Stokes Croft in Bristol till the end of the week.
I’ve recently finished painting a giant wooden piece of bunting for Drawn in Bristol’s “Bunt” show, which is being held outdoors around Brizzle’s Harbourside area 9th-17th June. It’s part of the Big Green Week here and should look really pretty when all the pieces (about 100 bunts) are hung together. This is it as a work in progress (one damselfly left to paint).. I chose to paint damselflies because of my dad’s uncontrollable delight every year when the larvae hatched from his back garden pond and it swarmed with these beautiful creatures…
I’ve had lots of illustration jobs this month, which is amazing!… One for the June music listings for the Canteen, a logo for a friend’s business and illos for Bristol City Council’s festivals flyer and website. Am also working on a big piece of wooden bunting for Drawn in Bristol’s ‘Bunt’ show as part of Bristol’s Green Week, and submitting a big drawing for “Storytelling”, an exhibition over three venues (Hamilton House, Jamaica Street Studios and Motorcycle Showrooms) to be held during June. Crikey!
Here’s Part 1 of “Tales from the Funkadelic Ferret”, which I’ve been making with members of Misfits Theatre Company, a local theatre group led by people with learning difficulties. We premiered it in Aardman Animation’s screening room last Friday, hurray!
and here’s Part 2! Who will win the Funkadelic Ferret Pub quiz hosted by Dr Who…?
