Upton-upon-Severn Primary School Bright Space Animation Project

Last Thursday 13th Jan we started our new Year One (5-6 year olds) animation project at Upton Primary School in Worcestershire. We had a really busy day watching lots of different animations, talking about what an animation is and what makes it different from live-action films, and deciding what our animation is going to be about. We’ve decided that it’s going to be about a bunch of characters sailing down the River Severn to Bristol on a Hovercraft (which most people in the class hadn’t heard of before). Among the characters are going to be several princesses, some vikings, an elf and some jungle animals which we did some drawings of. Now we have to make up stories to tell on our journey to make it seem shorter.

Here are two of the films we particularly enjoyed:

Next week we’re going to design our characters and develop our stories. Can’t wait!
